What to see

The main landmark is the Korean pavilion with its curved roof. Look for the paintings beneath the eaves, decorative gates and stone figures. Explore slowly: individual details are more interesting here than a long route.

An idea for your walk

Find the garden inside Zhetysu Park, look at the entrance and pavilion first, then follow the surrounding paths. Leave time for the rest of the park if you want to continue. For photographs, try capturing the roof patterns and sculptures as well as the wider view.

When to go and what to consider

Allow a short stop for your first visit, leaving the rest of your time for a walk in the park. Paths may be slippery in cold weather. Do not count on the pavilion as an enclosed, heated space.

Admission and opening times

Check park access conditions and any temporary restrictions before travelling. The source we checked does not list a separate current admission fee for the courtyard.

Where to go next

Continue through Zhetysu Park: the courtyard can be one stop on your outing rather than its only destination.
